Putting Musical Play at the heart of the School
Moor to Sea are passionate about the role music plays in benefitting, nurturing and celebrating young people. As highly qualified music practitioners and educators, we have a wealth of knowledge and experience that has led to our working with hundreds of young people across Devon and Torbay.
Using active, creative Music-making to support the Well-being of young people. Assisting in recovery post-covid and providing targeted early intervention, supporting mental health and resilience.
Providing accessible Musical Opportunities and embedding inclusive practice musically throughout the school. Expanding Learning and Development through Music.
Developing lasting Community Cohesion through musical workshops that focus on creating shared understanding, respect, cooperation and inclusivity, broadly developing young people’s personal, emotional and social skills and supporting the PSHE curriculum.
Our work focuses on facilitating the meaningful development of creative skills and ideas, whilst connecting individuals and communities through music.
Our approach:
• Is about musical communication
• Encourages music to be the way into a relationship
• Prioritises inclusion and access
• Supports resilience and positive well-being through a process of collaboration and co-creation
• Allows music to be the place from which to explore, consider, reflect and develop.
